
EXPERIENCED ASSISTANT EDITOR
FULL-TIME
Pool Party Creative is a boutique production company specializing in AV and digital creative for streaming, network and theatrical companies. We’re currently looking for a candidate with drive, talent and experience to join our team as a full-time Assistant Editor. We work efficiently under tight deadlines and need someone who won’t be afraid to jump into the deep end with us! Preferably, this is a position for a candidate with 2-3 years of assistant editing experience within the creative advertising industry. Must be located in Los Angeles, CA or willing to relocate. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Ingesting media assets

Overseeing prep, organization and transfer of finishing deliverables (i.e overcuts, picture/audio preps, conforming spots to different aspect ratios, cue sheets, captioning spots, graphics requests)

Creating and maintaining Master Premiere projects

Ensuring NAS Server and Dropbox are organized and follow in house workflows and folder structure

Assisting editors with media access and general troubleshooting

Ensuring all agency documents are accurate and up to date

Creating internal and external posting links via clients’ and Pool Party’s preferred sharing platforms

Ability and/or passion to learn to cut original creative utilizing the expertise of the pros at Pool Party Creative to help crack the code.
Requirements include, but not limited to:

Strong understanding of the Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere 2019, 2020, 2021, Adobe Media Encoder and Photoshop)

Basic understanding/experience with Avid Media Composer

Strong understanding of camera formats, codecs, raster dimensions, frame rates, file types and transcoding

Proficient in MacOS

Experience at an A/V trailer house strongly preferred

Ability to work 12pm – 9pm, plus overtime if necessary.
NOTE: this is onsite, in our Burbank office, remote work not available. -
